PAGE 1

PANEL 1

A room that’s inside the Department S.N. building that looks like the inside of a church. The sound of a slap in the face is heard.

PANEL 2

Sandy is shown going back as if she was slapped really hard by someone!

FATHER JOHNSON (not shown, loud, and angry)

INSOLENT CHILD!

PAGE 2

PANEL 1

The sadden Sandy is on the floor and her back is shown. Her hand is on the part of her face that got hit. The angry Father Johnson is in front of her. Colored decorated glass is behind him.

FATHER JOHNSON (angry, strict, hateful, and cruel)

YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO GET CLOSE TO THE OTHERS SO TO GIVE ME KNOWLEDGE ON HOW BEST TO GET RID OF THE SPAWNS OF SATAN WHEN THE TIME WAS RIGHT!

FATHER JOHNSON (angry, strict, hateful, and cruel)

ALL YOU DID SO FAR IS HAVING THAT DISGRACEFUL TANTRUM, WHICH NO DOUBT DREW A LOT OF ATTENTION, BECAUSE YOU HATE THAT INSOLENT GIRL!

SANDY (scared and hurt)

BUT SHE….

PANEL 2

The furious Father Johnson is shown and one of his hands seem to say that he wants to strangle the life out of Sandy, but still needs her!

FATHER JOHNSON (angry, strict, hateful, and cruel)

I’M GOING TO SAY THIS ONCE AGAIN TO REMIND YOU WHY YOU MUST DO THIS.

PANEL 3

The right side of Sandy is shown. Her eyes are open wide as tears fall from them as she looks shocked and terrified.

FATHER JOHNSON (not shown and angry)

GOD HATES YOU, CHILD! AND THAT IS WHY YOU ARE CURSED, WHY YOU TURN INTO A SINFUL BEAST, SO GOD CAN SHOW YOU HOW GREAT THAT HATRED IS!

PANEL 4

The left side of the angry and hateful Father Johnson is shown.

FATHER JOHNSON (angry, strict, hateful, and cruel)

AND THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN EARN BACK HIS LOVE IS TO HELP ME CLEANSE HIS WORLD OF THE CORRUPTED FILTH THAT THIS PLACE HOLDS AS IF THOSE THINGS COULD BE USED AS A FORCE OF GOOD WHICH WILL DO NOTHING FOR THE PEOPLE OF DEPARTMENT S.N. BUT MAKE A PLACE FOR THEM IN THE PITS OF HELL!

FATHER JOHNSON (angry, strict, hateful, and cruel)

AND YOU WILL FOLLOW THEM THERE IF YOU DO NOT DO WHAT I SAY TO COMPLETE MY GLORIOUS MISSION THAT GOD HIMSELF HAS LAID BEFORE ME!

PANEL 5

Father Johnson walks away from the depressed Sandy who is still on the floor and looks like she has no energy within her.

FATHER JOHNSON (angry, strict, hateful, and cruel)

DO NOT DISAPPOINT ME AGAIN, CHILD, BECAUSE I ONLY TOLERATE YOU BECAUSE I HAVE NEED OF YOU, NOT TO COMFORT YOU….!

PANEL 6

Sandy has her head down on the floor with her hands on the back of her head as she cries that says that this is too much for her to handle.

FATHER JOHNSON (not shown and cruel)

BECAUSE BEINGS LIKE YOU DON’T DESERVE MERCY AND COMPASSION!

PAGE 3

PANEL 1

Dream scene. As if looking thru Edward’s eyes, the kitchen of his house from Free Falls is shown. A door way to another room is also shown.

EDWARD (not shown and dream voice)

MOM? ARE YOU HERE?

PANEL 2

Same as panel 1, but Cindy, in the baggy outfit she wore in Howl to the Moon, appears at the doorway and acts devilish. She has her arm on the edge of the doorway in a sexy way.

EDWARD (not shown and dream voice)

CINDY?

PANEL 3

Cindy’s grinning mouth is the main focus.

CINDY (lips shown only, devilish, cruel, dream voice)

MONSTER.

PANEL 4

Edward’s, who’s wearing his Howl to the Moon outfit, left side is shown at the right side of the panel, while Cindy, still at the doorway, right side is shown at the left side of the panel.

EDWARD (confused and dream voice)

CINDY, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? IT’S ME, EDWARD.

CINDY (devilish and cruel)

EDWARD’S DEAD. HE WAS KILLED BY A SAVAGE BEAST NEAR THE JUNK YARD.

EDWARD (confused and dream voice)

NO, I’M EDWARD, I SURVIVED THE ATTACK.

PANEL 5

Same as panel 3.

CINDY (lips only shown, devilish, cruel, and dream voice)

EDWARD WAS HUMAN…. YOU’RE NOT.

PANEL 6

Edward is the main focus and he looks shocked from what Cindy just said.

PAGE 4

PANEL 1

Jeremy, from New York Wilderness, is shown in a dark room with little light. He’s wearing the same outfit that he wore when he met Edward. He is giving out a crazy grin.

JEREMY (cool, confident, crazy, and dream voice)

SHE’S RIGHT, YOU KNOW…. YOU’RE NOT HUMAN. SO WHY FOOL YOURSELF INTO THINKING YOU ARE?

JEREMY (cool, confident, crazy, and dream voice)

WHY RESTRAIN YOURSELF WITH PATHETIC EXCUSES LIKE MORALITY THAT’S RESERVED FOR HUMANS WHEN YOU SHOULD BE FREE TO KILL ANYONE YOU WANT WHEN THE FULL MOON COMES A CALLING?

PANEL 2

Back to Cindy.

CINDY (devilish, cruel, and dream voice)

KILLED?.... SURVIVED?.... IT DOESN’T MATTER. EDWARD DIED THAT NIGHT AND WAS REPLACED BY A KILLER.

PANEL 3

Back to Jeremy.

JEREMY (cool, confident, crazy, and dream voice)

IT’S LIKE I SAID, YOU’RE ALREADY A LOT LIKE ME AND KNOW IT DEEP INSIDE, BUT YOU RATHER HAVE YOUR PRECIOUS LIES TO KEEP YOU SAFE.

PANEL 4

A part of Cindy is shown, while Edward is in the background. He has his hands on his head as if Jeremy is talking inside his mind.

EDWARD (depressed, annoyed, and dream voice)

SHUT UP!

CINDY (devilish, cruel, and dream voice)

A FILTHY ABOMINATION WHO’S BETTER OFF GETTING A SILVER BULLET THROUGH THE HEAD AND THROWN INTO THE TRASH TO BE FORGOTTEN, WHICH WOULD MAKE EVERYONE’S DAY.

PANEL 5

The right part of Jeremy’s shades is the main focus while looking kind of vertigo. It’s like he’s peeking into the panel to look at the reader.

JEREMY (cool, confident, crazy, and dream voice)

YOU’RE NOT GOING TO LET HER GET AWAY WITH THAT, ARE YOU?

JEREMY (cool, confident, crazy, and dream voice)

COME ON, EDWARD…. MAKE HER PAY FOR THOSE WORDS. RIP HER TO SHREDS AND HAVE HER FOR DINNER. IT’S OK BECAUSE SHE’S NOTHING MORE THEN PREY WHO’S ONLY PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO BE KILLED, NOTHING MORE, BECAUSE SHE’S HUMAN, AND THAT IS WHAT BEING HUMAN IS REALLY ABOUT.

JEREMY (cool, confident, crazy, and dream voice)

OUR KIND IS THE ONE THAT MATTERS; THE ONES THAT ARE TRULY ALIVE, WHILE HER KIND IS SIMPLY FOOD TO HELP EXTEND THAT LIFE.

PANEL 6

Edward is shown again and still has his hands on his head. He looks really distressed!

JEREMY (not shown and spirirt voice)

IT’S REALLY ALL ABOUT THINGS LIKE “OF WOLF AND MAN” AND “BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS”.

EDWARD (distressed, loud, and dream voice)

SHUT UP!!!

PAGE 5

PANEL 1

Another view of Cindy who is now being quiet while still giving out a devilish smile and looking at Edward’s direction.

EDWARD (not shown and dream voice)

PLEASE, CINDY, DON’T DO THIS TO ME! I’M BEGGING YOU!

PANEL 2

A look of Edward with his head down. Shadow mostly covers him.

EDWARD (depressed and dream voice)

I NEED…. I NEED SOMEONE TO TELL ME THAT THERE’S STILL SOMETHING INSIDE ME THAT SAYS I’M STILL ME.

PANEL 3

The grinding teeth of the savage Edward werewolf are shown.

EDWARD (not shown and dream voice)

THAT THERE’S SOMETHING LEFT THAT CAN STILL BE CALLED HUMAN.

PANEL 4

Same as panel 1, but Cindy is bringing up her eyes up as if she thinks Edward is being pathetic.

EDWARD (not shown and dream voice)

PLEASE, CINDY, I GOT NO ONE TO TURN TO HELP ME KEEP WHAT SANITY I HAVE LEFT.

PANEL 5

A close look at the right side of Edward’s head is shown. He looks shocked as he hears an animal-like growl behind him!

PANEL 6

A close look at the left side of Cindy’s head is shown. She looks like she’s about to burst into laughter!

PANEL 7

Same as panel 6, but Cindy is now bursting in laughter!

PAGE 6

PANEL 1

Edward’s front is shown and he looks too shocked to look behind him! Cindy’s laughter is heard! A Part of the Edward werewolf’s body is shown behind Edward and is growling!

PANEL 2

Edward’s eyes are shown, with a part of his head, as he finds the courage to turn his head to see what’s behind him. Cindy’s laughter is still heard.

PANEL 3

Behind Edward is the savage Edward werewolf who looks like it really wants to kill Edward! The werewolf’s posture makes it look superior to Edward in a big way!

PANEL 4

As if there were eyes inside the werewolf’s mouth for the readers to see thru, Edward looks terrified and yells as the sharp teeth heads towards him!

PANEL 5

Edward dramatically gets up from bed screaming! He’s in the living quarters that Department S.N. provided for him.

PAGE 7

PANEL 1

Edward is shown with one of his hands on his face in the background as he recovers from the shock of the nightmare.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

SO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOUNG EDWARD IS NOW READY TO TAKE A FIELD TEST WITH THE PACK? TO BE TOLD THE REAL REASON ON WHY HE IS HERE?

MARK (not shown and word box)

YES, SIR. I HAVE COMPLETED GIVING HIS WOLF HALF ALL THE BASIC TRAINING AND BELIEVE HE CAN NOW DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE UNDER CONTROLLED CONDITIONS.

PANEL 2

In Mister Adams’ big office, Mark is standing on the right side of the panel, while Mister Adams is sitting at his desk on the left side of the panel. Miss Carson is standing next to Mister Adams.

MISTER ADAMS (charming, serious, and in charge)

HM, HE DID DO WELL TAKING ON THAT ROGUE WEREWOLF, BUT ARE YOU CERTAIN THAT THERE AREN’T ANY “GLITCHES” THAT WILL ENDANGER THE OTHERS, AS WELL AS POSSIBLE INNOCENT BYSTANDERS IF THE IMPLANT HAPPENED TO MALFUNCTION?

MARK (respectful)

I’M CERTAIN THAT THERE’S NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT EXCEPT WHAT’S ALREADY EXPECTED WHEN HANDLING WEREWOLVES AND I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING DOES GO WRONG.

MISTER ADAMS (charming, serious, and in charge)

THAT YOU WILL IF IT DOES, SILVER KNIGHT, AND MY CHOICES IN PUNISHMENT FOR THINGS LIKE THESE ARE SAID TO BE PRETTY HARSH.

PANEL 3

Mister Adams is the main focus.

MISTER ADAMS (charming, serious, and in charge)

VERY WELL THEN, HAVE HIM BROUGHT TO ME IN A COUPLE HOURS AND I WILL PERSONALLY TELL HIM EVERYTHING HE NEEDS TO KNOW, ESPECIALLY WHO, AND WHAT, THE ENEMY IS.

PANEL 4

Sam and Ralph are shown in the recreation room. They are having a smoke.

RALPH (chilling)

SO IS THIS THE DAY WHERE EDWARD GETS TOLD ABOUT THE BADDIES THAT’S ROAMING AROUND THE CITY?

SAM (chilling)

YEAH, HE’LL SOON KNOW EVERYTHING THAT THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE, BOTH THE GOOD, AND THE BAD.

PANEL 5

A close look at Sam.

SAM (chilling)

HE’S OFFICIALLY #$%@ED.

PANEL 6

Edward is shown walking in a hallway to meet Mister Adams.

SAM (not shown and word box)

I GOT TO GO, RALPH. THERE’S A LITTLE ERRAND THAT MISTER ADAMS WANTS ME TO MAKE.

PAGE 8

PANEL 1

Mister Adams is shown looking at the werewolf and alchemist pictures that Edward saw in New York Wilderness #1.

PANEL 2

Edward enters the hallway and looks a little nervous on wondering why he was summoned by Mister Adams.

EDWARD (a little nervous)

I WAS TOLD THAT YOU WA….

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

ARE YOU A BELIEVER, MISTER MARSHEN?

PANEL 3

A part of Edward is shown, while Mister Adams is shown in the background still looking at the pictures.

EDWARD (partly shown and confused)

SORRY, MISTER ADAMS, BUT I’M AFRAID I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN OR WHAT ANSWER YOU EXPECT WITH THAT QUESTION.

PANEL 4

The back of Mister Adams’ is shown as he turns his head towards Edward’s who’s left side is shown on the right side of the panel. Edward still looks confused on what subject Mister Adams is making.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

GHOSTS, GOBLINS, AND THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT, ARE YOU A BELIEVER THAT THINGS LIKE THAT CAN REALLY EXIST IN THE REAL WORLD?

EDWARD (a little confused)

WELL, BEING INFECTED WITH LYCANTHROPY, I GUESS I WOULD HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO BELIEVE THAT AT LEAST ONE THING THAT CAME FROM BOOKS AND MOVIES CAN REALLY EXIST.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

AND WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IF I WAS TO TELL YOU THAT WEREWOLVES WERE ACTUALLY A PART OF THE DISBELIEVED AND SUPERSTITIOUS LOT, INSTEAD OF THE WHOLE? THAT THERE ARE OTHER THINGS OUT THERE THAT ARE ALSO THOUGHT TO BE NOTHING MORE THEN WORKS OF FICTION, BUT ACTUALLY DO EXIST AS MUCH AS PEOPLE LIKE YOU?

PANEL 5

A close look at Mister Adams.

MISTER ADAMS (charming, serious, and direct)

IT’S TIME, MISTER MARSHEN, WHICH YOU WILL FINALLY LEARN ABOUT THE ENEMY.

PAGE 9

PANEL 1

Another view of Mister Adams and Edward.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

IT STARTED IN THE 12TH CENTURY AND WHAT WAS LEFT OF THE VIKINGS WERE PERHAPS INVOLVED, ALTHOUGH HISTORY HAS SAID WERE ALL GONE BEFORE THAT TIME,  BUT THE ENEMY’S BIRTH WAS A RESULT OF AN ALCHEMY EXPERIMENT TO CREATE A SPECIAL FLUID.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

A SPECIAL FLUID WHICH ANCIENT LEGENDS CALL THE “ELIXIR OF LIFE”, A FORMULA THAT PROMOTES LONGEVITY TO ONE’S LIFE.

PANEL 2

A past scene of long ago where a hooded alchemist is mixing chemicals. The hooded alchemist looks like it’s Alchemist #8 under there, but not enough to prove it.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

A ROGUE ALCHEMIST OF THAT TIME PROCURED AN OLD SCROLL THAT BELONGED TO A COURT SORCERER NAMED XU FU WHO WAS TRYING TO CREATE THE ELIXIR, WHILE MAKING HIS EMPEROR QIN SHI HUANG THINK HE WAS LOOKING FOR IT AND THE PENGLAI MOUNTAIN, AND WANTED TO GO BEYOND HIS DESTINE RANGE OF HIS TIME HERE ON THE MORTAL REALM, THOUGH IN IT WAS A FLAW MENTIONED OF THE FLUID THAT XU FU COULD NEVER OVERCOME.

PANEL 3

Past scene, a dead vampire bat, which is drained of blood, is shown on a table.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

THE ALCHEMIST SEEMED TO HAVE THOUGHT USING BLOOD FROM A VAMPIRE BAT AS AN ADDED INGREDIENT WAS THE SOLUTION, SINCE THAT FLAW WAS A SERIOUS TYPE OF BLOOD DISEASE THAT MADE THE INFECTED DIE FROM LACK OF hemoglobin.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

HE WAS ABLE TO GET SOME SPECIMENS DURING A SECRET VOYAGE TO THE “NEW WORLD” THAT PEOPLE SEEMED TO HAVE FORGOTTEN HAD EXISTED UNTIL IT WAS REDISCOVERED LATER ON.

PANEL 4

Past scene, the hooded alchemist gives a vile of the potion to a test subject who’s on his knees. The test subject is drinking it.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

THEN ON 1190, SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND, IT WAS TIME TO TEST THE NEW FORMULA, THOUGH LUCKILY FOR THE ALCHEMIST, HE WAS WISE ENOUGH TO HAVE SOMEONE OTHER THEN HIM TO TRY IT.

PANEL 5

Past scene, the test subject is having a seizure as he begins to transform into a “werebat”!

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

BUT SADLY FOR THE POOR SAP, WHO NO DOUBT VOLUNTEERED FOR THIS OUT OF OVERWHELMING DESIRES, THINGS DIDN’T WORK OUT AS PLANNED.

PAGE 10

PANEL 1

Past scene, the hooded alchemist is shown being shocked and terrified on what he is seeing!

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

EVEN THOUGH HE DID SOLVE THE PROBLEM THAT THE FLAW CREATED, WHAT IT TURNED OUT TO BE WAS A TOTAL DISASTER THAT THE WORLD WOULD PAY FOR EVEN THOUGH IT WAS DONE BY ONE DELUSIONAL FOOL WHO THOUGHT KNOWING ALCHEMY MADE HIM LIKE A GOD.

PANEL 2

Past scene, the test subject continues to transform into a werebat!

PANEL 3

Past scene, wings are starting to grow out of the transforming test subject!

PANEL 4

Past scene, the test subject’s ears become bat-like!

PANEL 5

Past scene, the almost completely transformed test subject is mostly covered in shadow as he raises his head to give out an animal-like screech of terror!

PAGE 11

PANEL 1

Past scene, as if the reader was above, the savage werebat looks up and spreads it’s wings while continuing to screech!

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

AND SO WAS BORN A HORRIFYING CREATURE THAT WAS UNINTENTIONALLY CREATED BY MAN’S GREED TO LIVE FOREVER.

EDWARD (not shown and word box)

WAIT A MINUTE!

PAGE 12

PANEL 1

Back in the present, Edward is shown shocked.

EDWARD (shocked and in disbelief)

YOU’RE NOT TALKING ABOUT VAMPIRES, ARE YOU?!

PANEL 2

A part of Edward is shown and Mister Adams is shown in the background looking at Edward.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

NOSFERATU, EDWARD, OR ACTUALLY THE WEREBAT WHO INHERITED THE NAME VAMPIRE BECAUSE OF THE SIMILARITIES THEY HAD WITH THE FOLKLORE WHICH THEY EVEN ADDED TO IT LIKE CONNECTING THE NIGHT CREATURES TO BATS.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

THEY ARE ANOTHER TYPE OF LYCANTHROPY BUT WITH SOME DIFFERENCES WHICH SOME ARE GENETIC GLITCHES THAT GIVE US EVEN MORE OF AN ADVANTAGE OVER THEM THEN JUST WITH SILVER SINCE THEY TOO ARE A CREATION OF ALCHEMY.

PANEL 3

Another view of Edward and Mister Adams.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

NOW SOME THINGS YOU NO DOUBT HEARD ABOUT THEM ARE TRUE, BUT SOME ARE NOT LIKE THE UNDEAD BIT, SO WE SHALL BEGIN WITH THE PARTS THAT ARE TRUE THANKS TO THE GENETIC GLITCHES MENTIONED CAUSED BY THE FACT THAT THEY WERE CREATED BY SOMETHING THAT WAS BASED ON SOMETHING ELSE WHICH WASN’T MEANT TO MAKE CREATURES LIKE THEM.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

NOW LIKE YOU AND THE OTHERS, THEY TOO CAN BECOME NEAR MINDLESS CREATURES, A WEREBAT, BUT THEIR PSYCHOLOGICAL TRIGGER IS THAT WHEN THEIR THIRST FOR BLOOD, AN ADDICTION, BECOMES TOO GREAT TO HANDLE, WHICH DOES GIVE THEM A MEASURE OF CONTROL OVER THIS, BUT SADLY A POOR SOUL HAS TO BE SACRIFICED FOR THEIR BLOOD, THOUGH WE HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE EXISTENCE OF SECRET BLOOD BANKS.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

SOMETHING THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD THING TO HAVE IF NOT FOR A LOT OF THEM GIVING IN TO THEIR URGE TO KILL BECAUSE OF INSTINCT.

PANEL 4

The right side of Mister Adams is shown.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

THE ONE DIFFERENCE TO THIS OF COURSE, THE FIRST GLITCH, IS THAT THEY CAN’T FULLY TRANSFORM BACK TO HUMAN, THERE BY MAKING THEM HUMANS WITH SOME WEREBAT CHARACTERISTICS.

PANEL 5

A male vampire in the city is shown in his human form.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

THEY CAN PASS AS HUMANS, BUT THERE ARE SOME SMALL DIFFERENCES THAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR WHICH ARE SLIGHTLY POINTY EARS, THE IRIS OF THE EYES BEING YELLOWISH, AND OF COARSE THE FANGS TO HELP THEM FEED ON OTHERS FOR BLOOD WHICH TO THEIR UNIQUE PHYSIOLOGY IS LIKE AN ELIXIR THAT PROLONGS THEIR LIVES MEANING THAT THE ALCHEMIST BACK THEN WAS SUCCESSFUL IN A WAY, BUT WITH NOT THE KIND OF SUCCESS THAT HE WANTED TO HAVE.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

OH, AND IT’S BEST WE NOT FORGET THAT EVEN IN THIS FORM THEY’RE STILL INHUMANLY STRONG AND FAST, THOUGH NOT AS POWERFUL AS IN THEIR WEREBAT FORM, AS WELL AS ABLE TO HEAL AT AN ACCELERATED RATE, BUT BACK TO THE GLITCHES.

PAGE 13

PANEL 1

The shocked Edward is shown in the background and is having a hard time believing this, while a part of Mister Adams is shown.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

THE SECOND GLITCH IS THAT THEY HAVE AN EXTREME PHOTOSENSITIVITY DISORDER TO UV RAYS WHICH MAKES SUNLIGHT DEADLY TO THEM, SO INSTEAD OF SUN BURNING LIKE AN AVERAGE HUMAN WITH THIS DISEASE, THEY GET “COOKED” TO DEATH.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

THE THIRD GLITCH IS THAT THEY HAVE A SERIOUS INTOLERANCE, AN ALLERGY YOU COULD SAY, TO GARLIC THAT LEAVES THEM WITH SYMPTOMS THAT YOU CAN FIND IN MEDICAL DOCUMENTS, THOUGH AT A GREATER LEVEL.

PANEL 2

The backs of Mister Adam’s and Edward’s are shown. Edward is looking at Mister Adams and looks nervous as if his life wasn’t crazy enough.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

AS FOR RELIGIOUS ICONS, HOLY WATER, RUNNING WATER, NOT ABLE TO ENTER A PLACE WITHOUT AN INVITATION, AND THE WOODEN STAKE THROUGH THE HEART, WELL, THAT GARBAGE GOT A LOT OF VAMPIRE HUNTERS BACK THEN EITHER KILLED OR TURNED THROUGH A BITE, SINCE VAMPIRISM IS ALSO A VIRUS, BUT DON’T WORRY, BEING INFECTED WITH THE WEREWOLF ONE MAKES YOU IMMUNE.

EDWARD (a little nervous)

WELL, THAT’S A RELIEF…. I THINK.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

THERE’S ALSO THE FACT THAT THEY DON’T TURN INTO MIST, A WOLF, THAT’S YOUR DEPARTMENT, OR A NORMAL BAT, THEY CAN’T CONTROL THE WEATHER OR EVEN PEOPLE AND ANIMALS THROUGH HYPNOSIS, AND ALSO THEY DO HAVE A SHADOW, REFLECTION, AND CAN BE PHOTOGRAPHED. DURING THE CENTURIES THEIR LEGEND GOT FILLED WITH A LOT OF RUBBISH, MOSTLY BY RELIGIOUS LEADERS WHO WOULD USE ANYTHING TO KEEP THE FOLLOWERS IN LINE.

PANEL 3

The fronts of the two are now shown and they are looking at each other.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

DID YOU KNOW THAT IN THE 18TH CENTURY RELIGIOUS LEADERS PROMPTED A MAJOR VAMPIRE SCARE IN EASTERN EUROPE WHERE THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS GOT DRAGGED INTO HUNTING AND STAKING SUSPECTED VAMPIRES?

EDWARD (a little nervous)

UM, NO, I DIDN’T KNOW THAT. YOU SEEM TO BE WELL KNOWLEDGE ON STUFF LIKE THIS.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and serious)

I HAVE TO BE, AS WELL AS YOU AND THE REST OF DEPARTMENT S.N., BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY MISINFORMATIONS MIXED WITH THE ACTUAL FACTS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW WHICH IS TRUE OR NOT TO INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF SURVIVING IN THIS KIND OF BUSINESS OF HUNTING THEM DOWN.

PANEL 4

Edward is the main focus and he looks a little spooked.

EDWARD (a little scared)

H…. HUNTING THEM DOWN?!

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

YES, THAT’S YOUR JOB HERE, TO HUNT DOWN AND KILL THE VAMPIRES, AND YOUR FIRST NIGHT ON THE JOB WILL BE TOMORROW SINCE WE HAVE FOUND A NEST AND THE FULL MOON WILL BE OUT.

PANEL 5

Edward is shown in the far background looking depressed with his head down.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

HAVE FUN.

EDWARD (thought balloon and depressed)

AND HERE I THOUGHT MY LIFE COULDN’T GET MORE #$@%ED UP THEN IT IS NOW.

PAGE 14

PANEL 1

At Cindy and Alice’s apartment, It’s now nighttime and Cindy is sitting and looking out the window.

ALICE (not shown)

IS SOMETHING THE MATTER, CINDY?

PANEL 2

Alice is shown standing next to Cindy who is looking at her.

CINDY (slightly caught unaware)

WHA….?

ALICE (concern)

YOU’VE BEEN ACTING STRANGE EVER SINCE THAT CRAZY INCIDENT AT THAT BAR.

ALICE (concern)

I KNOW IT WAS OVERWHELMING, ESPECIALLY WITH THE ANIMAL SOUNDS, BUT I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT EVERYONE THERE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET OVER IT.

PANEL 3

The right side of Cindy’s face is shown, as a part of Alice’s middle is shown.

CINDY (a little depressed, but acting cheerful)

I GUESS IT’S BECAUSE I’M NEW TO LIVING IN A CITY AND I HAVEN’T YET GOTTEN USED TO THIS KIND OF LIFE.

ALICE (partly shown)

YEAH, THAT’S PROBABLY IT SINCE IT’S A LOT BIGGER AND LOUDER TO WHAT A SMALL TOWN IS LIKE. TO YOU IT PROBABLY FEELS LIKE YOU ENTERED INTO ANOTHER WORLD.

PANEL 4

Outside of the building is shown with Cindy looking out of the window. Alice is shown walking away.

ALICE (focused on something else)

WELL, I’LL LEAVE YOU BE WITH THAT DEEP THINKING YOU SEEM TO BE DOING.

CINDY (chilling)

THANKS, ALICE.

PANEL 5

A further distance from Cindy and the building.

CINDY (thought balloon)

ENTERED INTO ANOTHER WORLD, HUH? I ALREADY ENTERED ONE LONG BEFORE COMING HERE, AND COMPARED TO WHAT I EXPERIENCED BACK HOME, NEW YORK IS TAMED IN EVERY WAY.

PAGE 15

PANEL 1

Near the building where Cindy lives, an annoyed pest terminator is outside a restaurant near some garbage. He’s carrying a sprayer and a container on his shoulder as he looks for rats.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

I WISH I COULD TELL ALICE ABOUT EDWARD AND WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM, BUT THERE’S NO WAY SHE WOULD BELIEVE THAT THERE REALLY IS SUCH A THING WHERE A PERSON CAN TRANSFORM INTO A SAVAGE BEAST WITH FUR, CLAWS, AND TEETH, SOMETHING THAT’S TRULY NOT HUMAN, INSTEAD OF THAT MENTAL CONDITION WHERE THE PERSON THINKS HE TURNED INTO AN ANIMAL.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (thought balloon and annoyed)

IDIOT! I TOLD HIM THAT HE NEEDS TO PROPERLY PUT AWAY HIS GARBAGE IN A WAY WHERE THE RATS CAN’T GET TO IT SO THAT THEY WOULD BE FORCED TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR FOOD. IT IS MY JOB TO GET RID OF THEM, BUT IT’S ONLY WORTH IT IF HE WOULD LISTEN TO WHAT I’VE BEEN TELLING HIM SO HE WOULDN’T HAVE TO PAY ME TO DO THE JOB ALL OVER AGAIN.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (thought balloon and annoyed)

IT JUST DOESN’T PAY TO BE CONSIDERATE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE’S PROBLEMS, EVEN IF I AM RUNNING A BUSINESS THAT NEEDS MONEY TO GO ON.

PANEL 2

The pest exterminator starts to spray the garbage with poison. He has a breathing mask on.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

THAT THE WORLD IS A LOT MORE DANGEROUS THEN SHE THINKS IT IS. THAT THERE ARE THINGS OUT THERE WHEN THE MOON IS FULL WHICH SURPASSES ALL THE MUGGERS, GANGS, AND WHATEVER THREATS THAT THIS CITY IS KNOWN FOR. IN FACT, IT WOULD PROBABLY TAKE ONLY ONE TO SLAUGHTER THEM ALL.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (thought balloon and annoyed)

MAN, I’M PROBABLY GOING TO BE IN A HEAP OF TROUBLE IF THE HEALTH OFFICIALS FIND OUT THAT I’VE BEEN PUTTING IN A LOT OF POISON IN ONE SPOT, ESPECIALLY CLOSE TO AN EATING ESTABLISHMENT.

PANEL 3

The pest exterminator stops spraying, lifts his mask up, and turns around to walk back to his truck.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

SHE WOULD OF COURSE THINK I WAS CRAZY IF I DID TELL HER, AND I WOULDN’T BLAME HER, SINCE THERE ARE TIMES THAT I THINK I DREAMED IT ALL UP AND IT NEVER REALLY HAPPENED.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (thought balloon)

HM, I LEFT THE TRAPS IN THE TRUCK.

PANEL 4

The pest exterminator is walking.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

BUT SAYING THAT IT WAS A DREAM WOULD BE NOTHING MORE THEN WISHFUL THINKING BECAUSE IT DID HAPPEN. IT’S A PART OF REALITY THAT PEOPLE REFUSE TO BELIEVE AND TELL THEMSELVES THAT THINGS LIKE THIS ONLY HAPPEN IN THE MOVIES BECAUSE IT’S TOO MUCH TO HANDLE, TOO MUCH TO ACCEPT.

PANEL 5

A closer look at the walking pest exterminator who notices something that’s in front of him.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

MAKES ME WONDER IF WHAT EDWARD BECAME CAN EXIST OUTSIDE THE WORLD OF FICTION THAT MAYBE OTHER THINGS THOUGHT NOT TO BE REAL CAN EXIST AS WELL.

PANEL 6

The feet and covered legs of Nos are shown.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

AS WELL AS WHETHER OR NOT THEY’RE JUST A HORRIFYING AS THE WEREWOLVES.

PAGE 16

PANEL 1

The pest exterminator’s hand is shown getting his flashlight.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (partly shown)

HELLO? IS SOMEONE THERE?

PANEL 2

The light from the flashlight is shinning on Nos’s chest.

PANEL 3

The pest exterminator with the flashlight brings up one eye brow as if he’s seeing something that he finds really weird.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (weird out and slightly confused)

LET ME GUESS ON WHAT YOU’RE GOING AS.

PANEL 4

Nos’s face is shown from the light from the flashlight. Nos is grinning and has the eyes of a predator. He has made himself look like the vampire from the movie Nosferatu (1922) by dressing like him and shaving his head, but looks like a normal vampire. Slightly pointing ears and somewhat pale affliction.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (not shown)

ONE MAJOR OF A NUT JOB!

PAGE 17

PANEL 1

A part of Nos’s body is shown, while the pest exterminator shines his flashlight at him.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (weird out and slightly confused)

NICE COSTUME AND ALL, BUT SHOULDN’T YOU LIKE MAYBE SAVE IT FOR HALLOWEEN SO YOU CAN BLEND IN WITH THE REST, INSTEAD OF HAVING PEOPLE STARE AT YOU FUNNY AND THINK YOU’RE LOONEY?

NOS (partly shown)

RUN.

PEST EXTERMINATOR (weird out and slightly confused)

EXCUSE ME?

PANEL 2

Nos’s mouth is shown with a smile that shows his fangs that are normal for a vampire.

NOS (smile only shown, crazy, direct, and creepy voice)

RUN!

PANEL 3

The pest exterminator is now running for his life in the opposite direction!

PEST EXTERMINATOR (scared and loud)

CRAP! I JUST HAD TO MEET WITH A REAL SICK MOTHER OF A PSYCHO WHILE THINKING I WAS GOING TO GO HOME AND WATCH THE GAME LIKE SOME LUCKY BASTARD WHO COMES TO THIS NEIGHBORHOOD!

PANEL 4

Nos goes after his prey with animal-like athletic ability while laughing like a madman! He does several inhuman hops while looking really thirsty for blood!

PANEL 5

As if looking thru Nos’s eyes, Nos gets closer to the running pest exterminator at animal-like speed!

PEST EXTERMINATOR (scared and loud)

LEAVE ME ALONE! GO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO HAVE YOUR SICK PLEASURES WITH! PLEASE!

PAGE 18

PANEL 1

Nos does an flip over the head of the unaware pest exterminator!

PANEL 2

Nos lands in front of the surprised and scared pest exterminator!

PEST EXTERMINATOR (shocked, scared, and in disbelief)

WHAT THE @#$% ARE YOU?!!

PANEL 3

Out of desperation, the pest exterminator tries to use his sprayer as a weapon by attempting to spray Nos!

PANEL 4

With animal-like speed and strength, Nos not only knocks the sprayer out of the pest exterminator hands, but breaks it form the impact!

PANEL 5

Nos open smile that reveals the fangs are shown.

NOS (crazy, inhumanly thirsty, and direct)

THIRSTY!

PAGE 19

PANEL 1

Nos savagely attacks the pest exterminator’s neck with his fangs like a blood addict! The pest exterminator tries to scream but the shock is too great!

PAGE 20

PANEL 1

Back at the headquarters of Department S.N., Mister Adams is looking out the window and looks like he’s waiting for someone. He’s alone as if he wants to be.

PANEL 2

A door is shown being opened.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

HAS RAT-GUY DUG UP ANYTHING OF GREAT INTEREST?

PANEL 3

It’s revealed that it’s Sam who’s back from her free night and has a file in her hand that she’s about to give to Mister Adams.

SAM (chilling, but careful)

HE SAID HE MANAGED TO GET A GREAT AMOUNT OF THE GOOD STUFF, BUT THERE’S STILL MORE THAT HE’S TRYING TO GET INTO AND THEN THE SAME THING ABOUT THIS BEING SERIOUS STUFF THAT YOU WANTED HIM TO RESEARCH AND HACK INTO WHICH COULD GET YOU KILLED IF FOUND OUT THAT YOU BEEN SNOOPY WHERE YOU SHOULDN’T, YADDA, YADDA.

PANEL 4

Mister Adams is reading the papers inside the opened file. Sam is standing in front of him.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and reading)

THAT’S WHY I SECRETLY HIRED HIM, BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS HE EXTREMELY TALENTED IN FINDING INFORMATION, EVEN THE REALLY OLD KIND, BUT CAN ALMOST HACK INTO ANY COMPUTER WITHOUT BEING NOTICED, AND AS A BONUS, HE’S SMART ENOUGH TO LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING THE “COMPUTERIZED” STREET, BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE MAY END UP GETTING RUN DOWN BY PEOPLE WHO ARE SERIOUS ON KEEPING THEIR SECRETS IF HE’S SLOPPY.

PANEL 5

Rat-guy is shown in a room with a high grade computer system that he’s using. He’s a normal human that looks like a rat and has posters of women in bikinis. He wears thick glass that tells how near-sighted he is.

SAM (not shown and word box)

THE GUY GIVES ME THE CREEPS AND THE WAY HE LOOKS AT ME MAKES ME THINK THAT HE’S HAVING SICK FANTASIES OF ME. NOT TO MENTION THAT HE LOOKS LIKE A RAT.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown and word box)

WHICH IS PERHAPS THE REASON WHY HE’S CALLED RAT-GUY, BUT I HAVE ONCE SEEN HIS ROOM’S “DECORATIONS” WHICH SEEMS TO INDICATE THAT THE NAME HAS MORE THEN ONE MEANING.

PANEL 6

The file is in front of Mister Adams’ face, but enough of his face is shown as he raises one of his eyebrows as if he found something interesting in the material of the file.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and interested)

WELL, IT WOULD APPEAR SOMETHING NEW HAS ENTERED IN OUR COLLECTION OF MYSTERIOUS KNOWLEDGE.

SAM (not shown and annoyed)

WHAT? WHAT DID YOU FIND? COME ON AND TELL ME ALREADY! GOD, I HATE WHEN YOU KEEP ME IN THE DARK BECAUSE IT LIKE AMUSES YOU OR SOMETHING!

PAGE 21

PANEL 1

Alchemist #8’s voice is heard which shocks Mister Adams and Sam.

ALCHEMIST #8 (not shown and somewhat shouting)

MISTER ADAMS? ARE YOU THERE?

MISTER ADAMS (a little worried, in control, and whispering)

QUICKLY GET INTO THE CLOSET BEHIND YOU AND TAKE THE FILE WITH YOU!

PANEL 2

The cheerful-looking Alchemist #8 enters the room.

ALCHEMIST #8 (cheerful)

AH, THERE YOU ARE. SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT HE SAW YOU HEADING THIS DIRECTION.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

I WAS JUST GETTING SOME QUIET TIME TO DO SOME THINKING ON WHAT OUR STRATEGY FOR TOMORROW SHOULD BE.

PANEL 3

On the outside of the building and thru the window Mister Adams and Alchemist #8 are shown looking out.

ALCHEMIST #8 (cheerful)

AH, YES, TOMORROW’S THE BIG DAY FOR YOUNG EDWARD AS HE GOES OUT FOR HIS FIRST HUNT FOR THE ENEMY. NO DOUBT HE’S NERVOUS ABOUT IT.

MISTER ADAMS (thought balloon)

MORE LIKE HE’S SO HORRIFIED THAT HE MAY END UP WETTING HIMSELF.

MISTER ADAMS (charming and respectful)

I’M SURE HE’LL DO FINE SINCE WE DON’T ALLOW NEW RECRUITS TO GO OUT ON A MISSION UNTIL WE’RE SURE THAT THEY’RE READY.

PANEL 4

Sam is looking thru the crack of the slightly opened door.

ALCHEMIST #8 (not shown)

THAT’S WHAT I ALWAYS HAD GREAT RESPECT ABOUT YOU, ADAMS, YOU ALWAYS TOOK THINGS SERIOUSLY BECAUSE YOU MAKE YOURSELF AWARE OF THE POSSIBLE DANGERS.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

I DO TRY TO MAKE IT MY TOP PRIORITY, SIR.

SAM (thought balloon and partly shown)

HM, SO IT’S THE MYSTERIOUS ALCHEMIST #8 WHO’S THE ONE PIECE OF EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS THAT THE ALCHEMISTS REALLY DO EXIST SINCE HE SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY ONE THAT’S WILLING TO LEAVE THE TOP FLOORS OF THIS BUILDING, WHICH ONLY MISTER ADAMS IS ALLOWED TO GO UP TO.

PANEL 5

Sam, inside the closet and sitting on the floor, decides to read the file by using the light form the crack of the slightly opened door.

SAM (thought balloon)

MIND AS WELL PEEK AT THE FILE TO SEE WHAT MADE ADAMS BRING ONE OF HIS EYEBROWS UP WHILE I HAVE THE CHANCE.

ALCHEMIST #8 (not shown)

SO WHICH SIDE OF THE CITY WAS THE NEST DISCOVERED?

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

THE WEST SIDE, AND NATURALLY IN AN AREA THAT’S SOMEWHAT EMPTY, BUT CLOSE TO A POSSIBLE FOOD SOURCE.

PAGE 22

PANEL 1

Sam’s eyes are wide opened as she looks down at the folder that covers the lower part of her face.

ALCHEMIST #8 (not shown)

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY ARE IN THIS NEST?

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

WE BELIEVE AROUND SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 10 TO 15, BUT SOMETIMES MEMBERS OF THEIR GROUP WANDER OFF AND AREN’T THERE FOR THE EXECUTION, SO WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT TO FIND OUT WHERE THEY WANDERED OFF TO WHICH IS USUALLY WITH ANOTHER NEST AFTER DISCOVERING THEIR OWN HAS BEEN WIPED OUT.

PANEL 2

Sam’s eye is shown looking thru the crack of the slightly opened door. She looks shocked from what she just read.

ALCHEMIST #8 (not shown)

IT MUST BE A REAL BURDEN TO GET HASSLED BY THE OTHER ALCHEMISTS WHEN IT’S OBVIOUS THAT YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND THE FACT THAT THIS JOB IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR ANYONE TO HAVE THE QUICK ENOUGH RESULTS THAT THEY DESIRE.

MISTER ADAMS (not shown)

I SIMPLY SEE IT AS PART OF THE JOB, SIR. TO DO WHAT I AND MY PEOPLE CAN DO, WHILE BEING EXPECTED TO DO MORE.

PANEL 3

Alchemist #8 is the main focus.

ALCHEMIST #8 (cheerful)

WELL, YOUR PEOPLE ARE DOING A FINE JOB NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY.

MISTER ADAMS (partly shown, charming, and respectful)

THANK YOU, SIR; I APPRECIATE THE CONFIDENCE THAT YOU HAVE ON US AND OUR WORK.

SAM (not shown and though balloon)

YOU GOT TO BE #$%@EN KIDDING ME!!!
