PANEL 1

The sheriff office is shown.

DEPUTY (not shown and word box)

SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

SHERIFF (not shown and word box)

THIS IS HENDERSON. HAS DOC CALLED IN FOR THOSE LAB RESULTS?

PANEL 2

The deputy is revealed to be a young woman behind a desk and talking into the phone.

DEPUTY (talking into the phone)

YES, SHERIFF, AND HE WANTED ME TO TELL YOU THAT FOR SOME REASON HE DIDN’T GET THE RESULTS YET AND EVERY TIME HE CALLED THEY WOULD END UP TELLING HIM THAT THEY HAVEN’T GOTTEN TO IT YET.

SHERIFF (not shown and from the phone)

THAT DOESN’T SOUND RIGHT.

PANEL 3

The sheriff is talking to his cell phone and is next to his car. The background shows buildings that indicate that he’s somewhere in town.

SHERIFF (a little moody, in charge, and talking into his cell phone)

SIGN…. I GOING TO CHECK OUT THOSE RUMORS ABOUT SOME KIDS SEEING AN ANIMAL MAN AT LOVER’S SPOT AND SEE IF IT ISN’T SOME PRANK THEY’RE PULLING TO FIND SOME AMUSEMENT FROM WHAT THE OLD MAN FROM THE JUNK YARD SAID.

SHERIFF (in charge and talking into his cell phone)

WAIT A MINUTE…. WHAT WAS THAT BOY’S NAME THAT HE RESCUED FROM THAT BEAST HE SAID STOOD ON TWO FEET?

PANEL 4

The deputy lady is working on the computer to find the report based on Edward’s attack.

DEPUTY (talking into the phone)

THE BOY’S NAME IS EDWARD MARSHEN WHO WAS SENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR A SERIOUS INJURY ON HIS LEFT SHOULDER FROM WHAT LOOKED LIKE A BITE.

PANEL 5

A closer look at the sheriff who is talking into his cell phone.

SHERIFF (in charge and talking into his cell phone)

EDWARD MARSHEN, HUH?

DEPUTY (not shown and from the phone)

WOULD YOU LIKE THE ADDRESS, SHERIFF?

PAGE 2

PANEL 1

Alex and Joe are looking inside the shed. Sarah is next to Alex’s dad’s old truck and she’s crouched down with her head down and with her hands on the back of her head that says that she can’t believe this happened.

SHERIFF (not shown and word box)

YEAH, I THINK IT’S ABOUT TIME I HAD A LITTLE CHAT WITH THE YOUNG MAN.

SARAH (low tone and in shock)

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING!

PANEL 2

A closer look at Alex and Joe looking inside the shed.

JOE (cool, but a jerk, as well as cold hearted)

THAT SHOVEL I SAW IN THE BACK OF YOUR OLD MAN’S TRUCK…. GET IT.

ALEX (stupid and confused)

ARE WE GOING TO BURY MAC?

JOE (cool, but a jerk, as well as cold hearted)

NO, “YOU” ARE GOING TO BURY HIM.

JOE (cool, but a jerk, as well as cold hearted)

YOU’RE ALSO GOING TO CLEAN UP THE BLOOD ON THE STUFF TO MAKE THEM PRESENTABLE WHEN WE TAKE IT TO THE PAWN SHOP.

ALEX (stupid and disgusted)

EW.

PANEL 3

As if the readers were looking up at the right side of Joe’s face, Joe looks down with his eyes to the right.

PANEL 4

As if looking thru the eyes of Joe, Sarah is shown still crouching with her hands over her head.

SARAH (in shock and low tone)

THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING!

PANEL 5

Same as panel 3, but Joe is bringing his eyes up because he finds his girlfriend being pathetic.

PANEL 6

Joe’s back is shown as he walks away from his crouching girlfriend.

JOE (cool, but a jerk, and low tone)

GEEZ, WOMAN, SHOW SOME DIGNITY.

PAGE 3

PANEL 1

The teeth of a dog that belongs to the old man of the junk yard is shown and is making a growl.

PANEL 2

The old man’s dog is fully shown and is tied up and she continues her angry growling.

OLD MAN (not shown and confused)

I’M SORRY, EDWARD, I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT’S WITH HER.

OLD MAN (not shown and confused)

SHE’S USUALLY HAPPY TO SEE YOU WHEN YOU WALK BY GOING TO SCHOOL OR BACK.

PANEL 3

Cindy and Edward are inside the old man’s trailer that’s inside the junk yard. They are sitting at a table with the old man to talk about that day. Edward has his head turn to look at the dog’s direction. He looks worried.

EDWARD (a little confused and worried)

SHE’S PROBABLY SPOOKED FROM THAT WILD ANIMAL THAT ATTACKED ME.

OLD MAN (a little concern)

YEAH, THAT WAS A REALLY CRAZY NIGHT WHEN THAT STRANGE CREATURE TRIED TO TEAR YOU APART, IN FACT IF I DIDN’T ARRIVE IN TIME, YOU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE ENDED UP LIKE THE OTHERS THAT I HEARD ABOUT DURING MY TRIPS OUT OF TOWN.

PANEL 4

Edward quickly turns his head towards the old man’s direction because of what he just said.

EDWARD (a little surprised and curious)

OTHERS?.... YOU MEAN THIS HAPPENED BEFORE?

OLD MAN (not shown)

WELL, SINCE THIS SEEMS TO BE CONNECTED TO THE SUBJECT THAT BROUGHT YOU HERE, I HEARD PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT IT AND THERE WAS A HEADLINE ON ONE OF THOSE TOWNS’ NEWSPAPERS THAT STATED THAT SOMEONE WAS KILLED BY SOME WILD ANIMAL.

PANEL 5

The old man has one of his hands on his chin and has his eyes up as he thinks about the subject. The backs of Edward and Cindy’s head are shown.

OLD MAN (thinking)

AS YOU KNOW, I SOMETIMES TAKE MY TRUCK OUT TO PICK UP OLD JUNK FROM PEOPLE WHO WANT IT OUT OF THEIR SIGHT AND SOME OF THEM ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN, SO I HEAR THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING IN THOSE TOWNS AND IT SEEMS THAT SOME OF THEM HAD STRANGE ATTACKS HAPPENING.

EDWARD (curious)

DO YOU KNOW IN WHAT ORDER THEY HAPPENED?

PAGE 4

PANEL 1

Edward and Cindy are shown on the left side of the table, as the old man is shown on the right.

OLD MAN (thinking)

NOT REALLY, BUT I KNOW WHERE YOU’RE GETTING AT.

OLD MAN (thinking)

YOU THINK THIS “THING” HAS BEEN MOVING ABOUT AND IF THE RUMORS ABOUT SOME KIDS SEEING SOMETHING LIKE THAT AT LOVER’S SPOT, THEN IT’S STILL HERE.

CINDY (a little worried)

I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING, SOMETHING REALLY BAD WHICH INVOLVES MAC.

PANEL 2

Another view of the three and Cindy is the main focus.

CINDY (a little worried)

WE MAY NOT SEE MAC AT SCHOOL…. LIKE EVER.

OLD MAN

THE WAY THAT CREATURE SEEMS TO WORK ON IT VICTIMS, THERE’S A GOOD CHANCE YOU WON’T.

PANEL 3

Another view of the three and Edward is the main focus. The old man gets up from his chair.

EDWARD (curious)

COULD YOU POSSIBLY WRITE UP A LIST OF TOWNS THAT THE CREATURE “AHEM” VISITED?

OLD MAN

NOT A COMPLETE LIST, BUT WHAT I KNOW, SO JUST LET ME LOOK FOR A PENCIL AND PIECE OF PAPER AND I’LL HAVE THAT READY FOR YA.

PANEL 4

Edward and Cindy are now outside the entrance way of the junk yard. Edward is looking that the piece of paper that has the list that he asked for.

EDWARD (focused on the paper)

THE FIRST THING WE COULD PROBABLY DO IS GO TO THE LIBRARY AND USE THEIR COMPUTER TO ACCESS THE INTERNET TO SEE IF WE CAN FIND ANYTHING ABOUT STRANGE ANIMAL ATTACKS FROM THIS LIST OF TOWNS.

CINDY

WHY NOT USE THE COMPUTER YOU IN YOUR ROOM?

PANEL 5

A part of the back of Cindy’s head is shown and Edward looks at her with a grin and one eye brow up.

EDWARD (amused)

BECAUSE YOU WOULD BE A GIRL WHO WOULD BE INSIDE MY BEDROOM WHICH MEANS WE WOULD NEVER GET ANYTHING DONE BECAUSE OF MY DAD, WHO LIKES TO FIND REASONS TO GET ON MY CASE FOR NOT BEING A FOOTBALL JOCK, WOULD KEEP INTERRUPTING US.

CINDY (a little annoyed)

HUH, THOSE MEMORIES OF MY LAST VISIT TO YOUR HOUSE IS ALL COMING BACK TO ME.

CINDY (a little annoyed)

WHAT WAS THE DEAL WITH YOUR DAD GIVING ME THAT LOOK?

CINDY (a little annoyed)

IT’S LIKE HE THOUGHT I WAS SOME SLUT WITH SOME NASTY PLANS FOR YOU, EVEN THOUGH I DON’T REALLY DRESS THE PART.

PANEL 6

Edward starts to walk to the direction where the library is. Cindy just stands there, but will soon follow.

EDWARD (sarcasm)

MY GUESS IS THAT YOU WEREN’T A CHEERLEADER AND THAT WAS A GOOD ENOUGH “REASON” FOR HIM TO GET ON MY CASE.

CINDY (a little annoyed)

WOW, HE LIKE SO WANTED YOU TO BE A HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL STAR OR WHAT?

PAGE 5

PANEL 1

The sheriff is now on the front porch of Edward’s house.

EDWARD’S MOM (not shown and from the house)

WELL HELLO, SHERIFF.

SHERIFF (in charge and polite)

HELLO, MRS. MARSHEN, IS YOUR SON EDWARD HERE?

PANEL 2

Edward’s mother is shown behind the screen door and Frank appears behind her looking upset because the sheriff wants to see his son. The sheriff is partly shown.

EDWARD’S MOTHER (cheerful)

HE AND HIS FRIEND ARE LOOKING INTO SOMETHING AT THE TOWN FOR SOME REASON, BUT I’M NOT REALLY SURE WHAT IT IS.

EDWARD’S MOTHER (cheerful)

WOULD YOU LIKE FOR ME TO TELL HIM THAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR HIM WHEN HE GETS BACK?

SHERIFF (in charge and polite)

THAT WOULD BE HEL….

PANEL 3

Same as panel 2, but the annoyed Frank gently pushes his wife aside.

FRANK (annoyed)

WHAT DID MY BOY DO?

EDWARD’S MOTHER (a little worried and a little upset)

FRANK?! WE DON’T KNOW YET IF EDWARD IS IN….!

FRANK (annoyed)

BE QUIET, MARY, I’M TALKING TO THE SHERIFF.

SHERIFF (in charge and “trying” to be polite)

MR. MARSHEN, I ASSURE YOU THAT THE BOY IS IN NO TROUBLE….

FRANK (annoyed)

WHAT” DID HE DO?

PANEL 4

The sheriff’s left side is shown and he’s on the left side of the door. Frank and his wife’s right side are shown on the right side of the said door. The sheriff burst in anger because he’s known Frank since they were kids and Frank is surprised by this.

SHERIFF (in charge and angry)

LISTEN FRANK!.... I’M HERE TO ASK YOUR SON ABOUT THAT ATTACK HE WENT THRU!

SHERIFF (in charge and annoyed)

HE’S A VICTIM, WHICH IS DIFFERENT TO BEING A SUSPECT, SINCE BEING AT THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME IS NOT YET A CRIME, BUT YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT THAT BECAUSE YOU’RE WILLING TO FIND ANY REASON TO HASSLE HIM, SO TO PUNISH HIM FOR NOT ENDING UP BEING A HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYER LIKE YOU WERE BACK IN THE DAYS!

PANEL 5

The sheriff straightens his hat as he is about to leave. Edward’s apparent are shown behind the screen door and Frank looks angry for being told off by the sheriff.

SHERIFF (in charge and calm again)

YOUR SON HAS A BIG FUTURE AHEAD OF HIM, THE KIND THAT A FATHER WOULD TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN, BUT YOU REFUSE TO SEE THAT WAY BECAUSE YOU’RE TOO EMBARRASSED OF HIM BASED ON HIM BEING A “GEEK”, AMONG OTHER PATHETIC REASONS THAT YOU HAVE…. AND THE WHOLE TOWN KNOWS IT.

SHERIFF (in charge and polite)

SORRY ABOUT THE COMMOTION, MRS. MARSHEN. I’LL TRY AND SEE IF I CAN FIND YOUR SON AT THE TOWN.

PANEL 6

Inside the house, as if the readers were looking down, the annoyed Frank is walking away from the front door. Mary is still there and is watching her husband and looks worried.

PAGE 6

PANEL 1

The sheriff is driving away from the house with his car.

SHERIFF (thought balloon and annoyed)

THAT BASTARD HAS CHANGED A BIT EVER SINCE HIGH SCHOOL!

SHERIFF (thought balloon and annoyed)

STILL EXPECTS THINGS TO GO HIS WAY AND THINKS IT’S EVERYONE ELSE’S FAULT WHEN IT DOESN’T!

PANEL 2

A somewhat close view of Edward and Cindy walking in town as they head for the library.

SHERIFF (not shown and word box)

SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THAT #$%@&%$ THAT THE GLORY DAYS ARE OVER AFTER GRADUATION!

EDWARD (focused on the job)

THE OTHER GOOD THING ABOUT GOING TO THE LIBRARY IS THAT THEY MAY HAVE BOOKS THAT HAVE REFERENCES ON SOMETHING THAT’S SIMILAR TO THE CREATURE THAT’S ROAMING AROUND HERE.

CINDY (helping)

I’LL DO THAT WHILE YOU SURF THE NET, SINCE YOU SEEM TO KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR BETTER THEN I, THAT PROBABLY GIVES YOU A BETTER IDEA ON WHAT WORDS TO USE ON THE SEARCH ENGINE.

PANEL 3

Same as panel 2, but Joe is in front of them and the two notice this. Edward and Cindy look scared. Joe looks calm and in control.

EDWARD (scared and nervous)

J….JOE!

PANEL 4

Same as panel 3, but Joe brings out his hand that says “give”. The nervous Edward and Cindy are looking at the hand.

PANEL 5

Edward is on all fours as he coughs from the punch in the stomach that Joe gave him. Cindy’s down with him to assist him as much as she could. In the background, Joe is walking towards the parked truck of Alex’s dad’s. Sarah is at the truck and is leaning back on it with her arms around herself. She looks depressed.

JOE (cool, but a jerk)

I EXPECT ALL OF THE MONEY NEXT TIME WE MEET, NERD, OR I WILL KEEP MY PROMISE OF DOING GREAT HARM TO YOUR STICK BOY BODY.

PAGE 7

PANEL 1

Cindy helps the groggy-like Edward to get up.

CINDY (angry)

THAT GUY IS BEYOND BELIEF!

CINDY (angry)

HE WRONGFULLY TAKES MONEY FROM YOU AND OTHERS, WHILE ACTING LIKE YOU RIGHTFULLY OWE HIM THE CASH AS IF HE’S DOING A SERVICE FOR YOU, JUST SO TO MAKE IT LOOK LEGIT!

EDWARD (groggy)

THAT’S WHAT BULLIES DO, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY’RE AS PSYCHOTIC AS JOE.

PANEL 2

A close look at Joe walking.

EDWARD (not shown, word box, and groggy)

THEY BELIEVE THAT THE STRONG OVERCOMES THE WEAK, THAT SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST BIT, AND JOE THINKS THAT THIS GIVES HIM THE RIGHT AND POWER TO DO THIS SORT OF THING.

PANEL 3

The groggy-like Edward has his arm around Cindy who is helping him move about.

CINDY (angry)

I BET HE WON’T FEEL SO HIGH AND MIGHTY WHEN HE SOMEDAY ENDS UP IN JAIL AND BECOMES SOMEONE’S GIRLFRIEND!

PANEL 4

A close look at the depressed Sarah.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

BY THE WAY, HAVE YOU NOTICE SARAH?

CINDY (not shown and word box)

SHE LIKE LOOKS SO DEPRESSED, INSTEAD OF BEING HER USUAL “MEAN BITCH” SELF.

EDWARD (not shown, word box, and groggy)

SORRY, I WAS TOO BUSY THINKING HOW PAINFUL THAT PUNCH IN THE STOMACH WAS.

PANEL 5

In the background, Cindy and Edward are walking away towards their destination. Cindy is still helping Edward to move about. Edward is groaning.

CINDY (supportive and sarcasm)

LET’S GET YOU TO THE LIBRARY SO YOU CAN RECOVER ON ONE OF THE TABLES.

PAGE 8

PANEL 1

A half hour later, Edward is on the library computer to look up stuff on strange animal attacks using the list that the old man gave him that’s next to him. The webpage he’s on looks like an internet newspaper. It says something about a old couple getting slaughter by some wild animal.

CINDY (not shown)

SAY, EDWARD.

PANEL 2

Cindy shows the open book to Edward who straightens his glasses as he takes a look.

CINDY (cheerful)

I CAN’T BELIEVE WE DIDN’T THINK OF THIS SOONER.

EDWARD (interested)

IT DOES FIT THE DESCRIPTION OF THE CREATURE….

PANEL 3

The page of the book revealed has the title on top “Werewolf”, as well as a description and a drawing, during the days of pilgrims and witch burning, of the creature attacking a person.

EDWARD (not shown)

THOUGH I DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE PART WHERE A MAN TURNS INTO A WEREWOLF UNDER THE FULL MOON, BUT BACK IN THOSE DAYS SUPERSTITION HAD A BIG PART IN LEGENDS AND WHAT THOSE PEOPLE SAW WAS PERHAPS A NEW UNKNOWN SPECIES, WHICH THEY PROBABLY THOUGHT WAS SOME KIND OF DEMON FROM THE PITS OF HELL.

CINDY (not shown)

BUT IN A WAY IT’S PERHAPS THE CREATURE THAT’S LURKING AROUND OUR TOWN, BUT WITHOUT THE SUPERNATURAL STUFF, RIGHT?

EDWARD (not shown)

IT SEEMS THAT WAY, UNLESS IT REALLY IS SOME PSYCHO IN A WEREWOLF COSTUME.

PANEL 4

The backs of Edward and Cindy’s head are shown. The monitor is shown and still has the news that Edward was looking at.

EDWARD (focus on his work)

I USED THE LIST AS A GUIDE AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS SIMILAR ATTACKS IN EACH OF THOSE TOWNS, WHICH PROVES THAT IT’S THE SAME CREATURE THAT ATTACKED ME, BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE DECIDED TO STAY HERE A BIT LONGER.

CINDY (interested)

OR MAKE IT IT’S HOME.

EDWARD (focused on his work)

THAT WOULD BE A VERY BAD THING TO HAPPEN.

CINDY (interested)

ESPECIALLY IF THIS THING SEES HUMANS AS PART OF IT’S DIET.

PAGE 9

PANEL 1

The shed with the stolen loot is shown and Alex is a few feet away from it as he digs up a hole to put Mac’s body in. Alex’s dad’s truck just arrived and is about to park.

JOE (not shown and from the truck)

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS…. THAT IDIOT IS STILL DIGGING.

PANEL 2

Joe and Sarah are looking down at the dirty Alex who’s in the hole that he digging. Sarah is still depressed from what happened here.

JOE (cool, but a jerk, also annoyed)

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?

ALEX (stupid and confused)

I’M DIGGING A HOLE TO PUT MAC IN JUST LIKE YOU TOLD ME TO DO.

JOE (cool, but a jerk, also annoyed)

NOT ALL THE WAY TO CHINA, YA TWIT.

ALEX (stupid and confused)

BUT AREN’T YOU SUPPOSED TO MAKE A GRAVE 6 FEET UNDER?

JOE (cool, but a jerk, also annoyed)

SIGH, PUT THE BODY IN, FILL THE HOLE UP, AND THEN CLEAN OFF THE BLOOD ON THE LOOT WHICH I BET YOU HAVEN’T DONE YET, OR I’M GOING TO TAKE THAT SHOVEL AND BANG YOUR HEAD WITH IT.

PANEL 3

Joe and Sarah are walking away from the grave. Alex, who’s inside the hole, is grabbing for Mac’s body, so to drag it inside the hole.

JOE (cool, but a jerk, also annoyed)

THIS IS WHY I DIDN’T LEAVE HIM HERE LAST NIGHT TO WATCH OVER THE STUFF.

PANEL 4

Elsewhere, Cindy’s parent’s diner is shown. It’s starting to get dark.

CINDY (not shown and word box)

SO WHAT WE HAVE GATHERED IS THAT THIS CREATURE HAS A LEGEND CONNECTED TO IT, BUT INSTEAD OF A SUPERNATURAL BEING OF FOLKLORE, WE HAVE AN UNKNOWN SPECIES WHO’S ORIGINS HAVE BEEN MISLEAD THRU SUPERSTITION BELIEFS.

EDWARD (not shown and word box)

I MAY BE A SCI-FI GEEK WHO LIKES TO PLAY ROLE-PLAYING GAMES AND SURF THE INTERNET, BUT EVEN I THINK THAT SOME THINGS ARE TOO IMPOSSIBLE TO BE REAL, SO IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

PANEL 5

Cindy and Edward are shown eating at a booth. They have some print outs that they are looking at.

CINDY (eating and looking at a paper)

WHAT ABOUT THIS SILVER THING? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT?

EDWARD (eating and looking at Cindy)

IT’S PROBABLY A FOLKLORE MYTH THAT PEOPLE THOUGHT WOULD PROTECT THEM.

EDWARD (eating and looking at Cindy)

ALL LIFE ON THIS PLANET HAS A DIFFERENCE, A UNIQUENESS, WHERE SOME SEEM STRANGE AND SEEMLY MYSTICAL, LIKE SAY A CHAMELEON LIZARD CHANGING IT’S COLOR TO BLEND IN WITH THE ENVIRONMENT TO HIDE ITSELF, BUT I’M SURE A NORMAL BULLET COULD KILL THIS CREATURE LIKE ANY OTHER LIVING BEING.

EDWARD (eating and looking at Cindy)

THERE’S REALLY NOTHING ABOUT IT THAT INDICATES THAT IT’S BASED ON MAGIC.

PAGE 10

PANEL 1

Cindy’s mother comes by.

CINDY’S MOTHER (cheerful)

YOU GUYS NEED ANYTHING ELSE?

CINDY (cheerful)

NO THANKS, MOM, I’D SAY WE’RE PRETTY STUFFED.

EDWARD (being polite)

IT WAS VERY DELICIOUS.

CINDY’S MOTHER (cheerful)

WHY THANK YOU!

PANEL 2

Cindy’s mother puts the used dishes on the platter and her daughter helps.

EDWARD (focused on work)

CINDY? I’M GOING TO TRY TO MAKE A PHONE CALL TO ONE OF THE NEIGHBOR TOWNS’ NEWSPAPERS, SINCE I HAVE SOME CERTAIN QUESTIONS TO ASK AND WANT TO SEE IF THEY’RE STILL THERE.

CINDY’S MOTHER (cheerful)

SORRY, DEAR….

PANEL 3

A pay phone with an “Out of Order” sign on it is shown.

CINDY’S MOTHER (not shown)

BUT I’M AFRAID CINDY’S FATHER KEEPS FORGETTING TO GET THAT THING FIXED WHICH IS EASY TO DO, SINCE A LOT OF PEOPLE THESE DAYS CARRY CELL PHONES.

EDWARD (not shown)

NO PROBLEM, I’LL JUST USE THE ONE OUTSIDE.

PANEL 4

Outside the diner, Edward is running towards a phone booth that’s next to a phone line pole.

EDWARD (thought balloon and annoyed)

WISH I HAD A CELL PHONE, BUT DEAR OLD DAD THINKS I’M NOT RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO HAVE ONE.

EDWARD (thought balloon and annoyed)

LIKE I’M GOING TO MAKE PRANK CALLS WHEN THERE’S CALLER I.D. AND IT’S NOT LIKE I HAVE THAT MANY FRIENDS TO CALL TO BEGIN WITH.

PANEL 5

Edward is now inside the booth and is calling someone. The other phone he trying to reach starts to ring.

EDWARD (thought balloon and trying to be patient)

COME ON! JUST BE THERE!

PAGE 11

PANEL 1

The full moon is starting to reveal itself!

PANEL 2

The waiting Edward is starting to feel woozy! The other phone from the other end of the line is still ringing. Edward is moaning.

PANEL 3

Edward is starting to change into an “almost” full werewolf as his clothes start to somewhat tear.

PANEL 4

The snout and sharp teeth of the “almost” full werewolf is shown.

LADY (not shown andfrom the phone)

GINGER CREEK PRESS, HOW MAY I HELP YOU?

PANEL 5

The changing “almost” full werewolf’s hand is shown holding the phone head. A growl is heard.

LADY (not shown, from the phone, and confused)

HELLO?

PANEL 6

A part of the “almost” full werewolf is shown with torn clothing while still holding the phone head. A growl is still heard.

LADY (not shown, from the phone, and getting annoyed)

HELLO?

LADY (not shown, from the phone, and annoyed)

I HOPE FOR YOUR SAKE THAT THIS ISN’T A PRANK CALL, BECAUSE WE DO HAVE CALLER I.D. HERE!

PAGE 12

PANEL 1

Inside the diner, Cindy, her mom, and the other customers hear the trashing of the phone booth!

ONE OF THE CUSTOMERS (surprised)

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!

PANEL 2

The street near the diner is shown and the pay phone from the both is thrown towards it as it bounces off it! A growl is heard!

PANEL 3

The worried Cindy runs out of the diner and towards the direction where the pay phone booth is!

CINDY’S MOTHER (not shown and loud)

CINDY?!

PANEL 4

The back/right side of Cindy’s head is shown as she looks at the trashed phone booth that looks like something powerful busted out of it!

PANEL 5

The savage “almost” full werewolf is shown moving in the forest with animal-like athletic ability! Shadow mostly covers it’s form!

PAGE 13

PANEL 1

Back to the shed with the stolen loot, Alex is putting all the now cleaned stolen loot into his father’s truck, while Joe and Sarah watch. Alex looks exhausted.

ALEX (exhausted, stupid, and worried)

MY…. MY DAD IS GOING TO WONDER WHY I GOTTEN THE TRUCK BACK SO LATE.

JOE (cool, but a jerk)

THE WAY I SEE IT, YOU’RE GOING TO BE THE ONE WHO GETS YELLED BY YOUR OLD MAN, WHILE SANDY AND I SHOULDN’T REALLY GIVE A DAMN.

JOE (cool, but a jerk)

NOW SHUT YOUR TRAP AND LET’S GET READY TO GO.

PANEL 2

From the bushes, the predator eyes of the savage “almost” full werewolf are show, while the rest is covered with shadows.

JOE (not shown, stupid, and exhausted)

THIS IS THE LAST ONE.

PANEL 3

A closer look at Joe and Sarah, though Joe is the main focus.

JOE (cool, but a jerk)

IT’S ABOUT #$%@EN TIME!

PANEL 4

A closer look at the right eye of the savage “almost” full werewolf.

JOE (not shown)

NOW LET’S GO AND MAKE SOME CASH OUT OF THIS JUNK.

PANEL 5

A memory scene where Edward is getting bullied by Joe and his gang at school.

PANEL 6

The savage “almost” full werewolf’s teeth are shown and a growl is heard.

DEPUTY (not shown)

HEY, WHO’S OVER THERE?

DEPUTY (not shown)

SHOW YOURSELF!

PAGE 14

PANEL 1

Part of a deputy is shown as he shines his flashlight on the savage “almost” full werewolf, which fully reveals the creature!

DEPUTY (surprised, terrified, and loud)

OH’ #$%@!!! I FOUND THE CREATURE!!!

PANEL 2

With animal-like speed, the savage “almost” full werewolf attacks the deputy before he draws out his gun! The deputy screams in terror as the beast kills him!

PANEL 3

The legs of the other deputies are shown as they run towards the direction of where the screaming is coming from!

ONE OF THE DEPUTIES (legs only shown and worried)

THAT SOUNDED LIKE GEORGE! MY GOD, WHAT’S HAPPENING TO HIM?!

ANOTHER DEPUTY (legs only shown and worried)

DIDN’T HE SAY HE FOUND THE CREATURE?!

PANEL 4

Alex’s father’s truck, that has the stolen loot, as well as Joe and Sarah, is quickly driving away because of the commotion, while Alex himself is running after it!

ALEX (loud, scared, stupid, and pathetic)

JOE?!! WAIT FOR ME!!!

PAGE 15

PANEL 1

Arms and guns of the other deputies are shown and aimed at the savage “almost” full werewolf as it stands next to the dead deputy lying on the ground! The “almost” full werewolf is savagely growling!

DEPUTY #1 (arms only shown and shocked)

WHAT THE $@#% IS THAT THING?!!

DEPUTY #2 (arms only shown and shocked)

LET’S FIND OUT AFTER WE TURN IT INTO A BLOODY MESS ON THE GROUND!!

PANEL 2

A small shower of bullets are hitting the savage “almost” full werewolf as it growls in pain from the tearing of it’s flesh from the non-silver bullets, but does not die from them! Though they still hurt like hell!

DEPUTY #3 (not shown, angry, and loud)

KILL IT! KILL IT!! KILL IT!!!

PANEL 3

The deputies are shown still aiming their guns which is at the reader’s direction. They all look shocked and in disbelief. One of the deputies, who is really nervous, is still pulling the trigger of his now empty gun.

DEPUTY #1 (shocked and in disbelief)

LARRY? THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD TIME TO CALL FOR SOME BACKUP.

DEPUTY #4 (shocked and in disbelief)

YOU’LL GET NO ARGUMENT FROM ME.

PANEL 4

The savage “almost” full werewolf is shown still standing and has his right hand on his left arm, and although it’s human clothing has bullet holes, the beast’s supernatural healing ability is repairing the damage on it’s body. It looks angry for the pain the deputies gave him and gives a kind of growl that says that it is planning to attack!

DEPUTY #4 (not shown)

I JUST PRAY TO GOD THAT WE’RE STILL BREATHING WHEN THEY GET HERE.

PAGE 16

PANEL 1

The sheriff is in his car that’s next to the front of the junk yard. He’s about to leave and the old man is there to say good-bye after they had a talk about the werewolf and Edward.

SHERIFF (in charge and polite)

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND GIVING A LEAD TO WHERE EDWARD WENT.

OLD MAN (cheery and polite)

NOW DON’T YOU WORRY ABOUT EDWARD, SHERIFF, BECAUSE HE MAY BE VERY CURIOUS ABOUT THIS CREATURE THAT’S ROAMING AROUND THE AREA, BUT I’M SURE HE’S SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW WHEN TO STAY ENOUGH AWAY.

PANEL 2

Inside the sheriff’s car, the sheriff is driving away. The old man is shown from a distance thru the back window and is waving good-bye.

SHERIFF (thought balloon and concern)

I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THE BOY WOULD WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE CREATURE THAT ATTACKED HIM, BUT IT SEEMS DOWN RIGHT FOOLISH TO DO SOMETHING THAT WOULD PERHAPS GIVE THE CREATURE A SECOND TRY ON FINISHING WHAT IT STARTED.

PANEL 3

The voice of the deputy lady is heard thru the police radio in the sheriff’s car.

DEPUTY LADY (from radio and desperate)

SHERIFF?! ARE YOU THERE?! PLEASE ANSWER!!

PANEL 4

The deputies are shown fighting the savage “almost” full werewolf and some of them are getting slaughtered, while the others are firing at the wild animal!

DEPUTY LADY (not shown, desperate, and word box)

LARRY JUST CALLED AND SAID THAT THEY FOUND THE CREATURE NEAR “ “ CREEK, BUT FOR SOME REASON ARE HAVING SOME TROUBLE BECAUSE BULLETS DON’T SEEM TO STOP IT!

SHERIFF (not shown, confused, and word box)

WAIT A MINUTE! JUST HOLD ON! ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT LARRY SAID THAT THEY SHOT AT THE CREATURE AND IT’S STILL MOVING ABOUT BEING A THREAT!

DEPUTY LADY (not shown, desperate, and word box)

AND HE SOUNDED SOBER WHEN HE SAID IT!

PANEL 5

The savage “almost” full werewolf is shown moving at animal-like speed! Screams of terror and pain are heard!

SHERIFF (not shown and word box)

I’LL BE RIGHT OVER! TELL ANYONE THAT YOU CAN REACH TO MEET ME THERE!

PAGE 17

PANEL 1

Cindy’s parent’s diner is shown and Cindy is staring at the trashed telephone booth. Some of the other customers are also outside to see the site. A police siren from a distance is heard.

PANEL 2

The sheriff’s car quickly passes by the diner with the siren being bright and loud! Cindy and the others notice this!

PANEL 3

A closer look at Cindy and she seems to intuitively know that the speeding sheriff’s car is connected to Edward.

PANEL 4

The last living deputy runs for his life and towards a pole car!

PANEL 5

The right side and eyes of the savage “almost” full werewolf is shown, as it goes after the last one that brought him harm at animal-like speed!

PANEL 6

The running deputy is now at the hood of his planned escape vehicle! He looks back and what he sees terrorizes him!

SURVIVING DEPUTY (shocked and scared out of his mind)

OH’ GOD, NO!!! PLEASE!!!

PAGE 18

PANEL 1

From above, the savage “almost” full werewolf lands on the surviving deputy, which the impact buckles the hood of the car and the windshield breaks into little pieces, thanks to it’s animal-like strength! There’s no chance the deputy would survive this!

PANEL 2

The sheriff’s car and a few police cars that met up them him during the trip arrive at the scene!

PANEL 3

The sheriff comes out of his car and is shocked to what he sees.

PAGE 19

PANEL 1

The upper parts and backs of the sheriff and the deputies are shown as they look at the main focus of the panel is the slaughtered and dead deputies that called for help!

SHERIFF (spooked)

WHAT IN GOD’S NAME HAS HAPPENED HERE?

PAGE 20

PANEL 1

The sun is shown starting to rise.

PANEL 2

The “almost” full werewolf is shown on all fours with it’s head down as if he feels weak.

EDWARD (not shown and word box)

THOUGH I DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE PART WHERE A MAN TURNS INTO A WEREWOLF UNDER THE FULL MOON, BUT BACK IN THOSE DAYS SUPERSTITION HAD A BIG PART IN LEGENDS AND WHAT THOSE PEOPLE SAW WAS PERHAPS A NEW UNKNOWN SPECIES, WHICH THEY PROBABLY THOUGHT WAS SOME KIND OF DEMON FROM THE PITS OF HELL.

PANEL 3

The eyes of the savage and weak “almost” full werewolf are shown as the head is up, since someone is with it.

PANEL 4

(COLOR BLIND SCENE) As if looking thru the eyes of the “almost” full werewolf, a “blurry” vision of Cindy is shown.

PANEL 5

The “almost” full werewolf’s hands are shown on the right of the panel and they now look mostly human. Cindy’s knees are shown on the left side of the panel, as they slam down on to the ground, because of how much of an emotional trauma the situation is.

EDWARD (not shown and word box)

THERE’S REALLY NOTHING ABOUT IT THAT INDICATES THAT IT’S BASED ON MAGIC.

PANEL 1

The two friends’ heads and shoulders are the main focus. Cindy’s left side is shown as she looks concern and scared for Edward. Edward, although his face is focused at Cindy’s direction, seems too shocked to notice her, because the awful truth has been revealed.

CINDY (scared, concern, in disbelief, and low tone)

EDWARD?

PANEL 2

Cindy’s arms are shown to reach the shocked and oblivious Edward, as she is about to hug Edward to comfort him.

PANEL 3

Cindy has her arms around Edward and her chin on his shoulder. She cries for Edward.

PANEL 4

On the other side of the hug, the shocked and oblivious Edward is shown.

PANEL 5

A closer look at Edward’s eyes.

PANEL 6

A TV is shown in a dark room where the TV is the only source of light. A scene from The Wolf Man (1941) is shown where the gypsy woman is telling Larry Talbot that he’s cursed with lycanthropy.

GYPSY WOMAN (from TV)

WHOEVER’S BITTEN BY A WEREWOLF AND LIVES, BECOMES A WEREWOLF HIMSELF.

PANEL 1

As if the reader is looking down, Edward lift his head, while bringing his arms somewhat up, as he screams a very loud scream that’s full of absolute terror! Cindy is still there hugging him!
